You'd think this would have been a slam dunk for me...a picture of a barn! Well, I've had family at the house for a few days so I didn't get out to take any new pics. I dug around in my archives and found a couple of barn shots. Of course, the
Sunday Stills challenge was a little more than just a barn pic. It specifically said, "look beyond the typical barn shot." So since all I had was archived photos, I thought I would get a little creative with them.
Let me know what you think....

Great job as always! I really enjoy the second pic since it looks so old fashioned. How is the photoshop class going by the way??
Beautiful! You are so artistic!
Both photos are great! Looks like a natural subject for you.
Thanks everyone!
Lacey Jo-Photoshop class is going. I get very frustrated with the group process. I am learning though. But I still find it much easier to use Picnik.com right now. Maybe someday I will feel more comfortable with photoshop, who knows!
Very nice, I especially like the second one..it has a great old fashioned look:)
Those are very artistic, well-done. Did you edit those using Picnik or Photoshop? I hope you are having a great weekend!
I love them both ! The second one is great, but the first one "speaks" to me for some reason.
Maybe it's the coloring? Almost an "Americana" feel to it with the painted boards.
Great job, as always!!!
xoxox
LOVE them!!!!!!
and i love picnik too!!!!!
Great job! I like both but I really like the first one best, the colors are very striking. The second one looks so old fashioned! Its great!
Looks pretty good to me . Wow girl you have some talent!
Very nice indeed...:-)
Excellent job....that second one is amazing! :)
Love these!! The first one makes me want to whip out my paint brushes and do a watercolor painting! You may have cured my painter's block!! :)
very artistic. I must get into using picnik more.
Beautiful shots!
great job! I agree that PS, PSE or any of their products, while good, are not necessarily easy to use or understand.
I love the second one. It's like the barn is a backdrop!
The shots are great. I especially like the second one.
I just love what you did with these shots. EXCELLENT!
Very nice. There is something very comforting about that second shot. Maybe it is that timeless feeling ....what do I know, they are great shots.
Beautiful! Love what you did with the coloring in both shots, but that second is my favorite. Very calming.
Those are fabulous shots. I love the second one.
You can see what I came up with over at my photo blog.
I like that second shot a lot. Very nice. Once again, very good job on your photos.
Great shots! I too, like the second shot! =)
The black and white is awesome.
Both are good but, boy, that second shot...
Helen
I love what you did with both of the pictures, the second is my favorite.
What picnik actions did you use?
They are awesome!!
I gotta agree wit Tatersmama. I really like the first one. It has a very "americana" feel to it. I really think you have a gift for seeing things and then helping others see it too.
Both have an incredible feel to them but number one just reaches out and grabs me. Makes me feel comfy and all 1950's. Have no idea why.
WOW! Both are just beautiful!
Those are both gorgeous shots!
Awesome! Very picturesque.
Very nice photos! You have a great eye for the beautify around you!
WOW!!! Those are great.
Those are great! I love that huge tree in the second one! And the rustic look to the photo!!
WOW~just wow those are great!
Oh my goodness the mommas and babies! Precious!
They are both AWESOME! I tagged you over on my blog also.
great job as usual, you never disappoint ! I really want your camera :)
Now that my Vegas trip is over, I have to get back to taking pics of Star!
I've missed so much by taking my blogging hiatus! I'm sorry for your loss. I can relate to poorly run bull events, hope you caught up on your lost sleep!
I love your barn photos. I bet they were probably close to you too. I was going to try to actually join in on this challenge but most of the barns in are area are large hay barns, nothing spectacular. Plus I spent all weekend writing papers!
School is over (for the semester) next week. I will be blogging and reading blogs more!
wow~ they are great! you should try to sell them!
I KNEW that I called that one in your new store *Americana*!!!
So did you pick my name for it, or did you come up with it yourself?
I so WANT that print... and I WILL have it! It makes me feel like I'm home again. :-)
