Yard Fence in Progress

The yard fence is coming along nicely! Lucky for me, our nephew called and asked to come up this weekend. He is attending automotive school in Houston and wanted to visit. The husband told him he was working on the fence and the nephew offered to help. Silly boy! So that meant, I managed to get out of fence duty! Yippee!

They managed to get all the pipe set despite the extremely hot and humid weather. But they took water breaks frequently. Let's take a look...

What a pretty straight fence line! The husband had to fix a hole. He turned so y'all could see his good side. Yes, that was what he said!

The nephew pouring the quikrete mix. I think the husband had him hauling all the heavy stuff.

Gotta make sure everything is level.

You know what my favorite part of the entire fence building process is? The hot pink string line!

They did a great job.

Next up, the husband will saddle and cut the pipe for the top rail. Then the top rail will be welded in. Poor hubby, it's suppose to be well over 100 degrees this week!

That will be a strong fence it looks like. Hubby sure has a good side. My man does too and after 44 years it still gives me a tingle to see it.

Why is pipe fence so popular in Tx? We never see that in Wi.
