They Shall Be Mine!

I love babies.  But what's not to love, right?  Okay, I'm talking about animal babies here.  I enjoy having the calves at the house.  I go out every evening and sit at the gate with a bucket of cubes.  Slowly but surely gaining the trust of more and more.  It started with just one, now I'm up to at least four eating out of my hand.  I had to text the husband this evening because I got his favorite to come up today.  I was really surprised.  The husband was happy.  He said maybe if we can tame her down now, she'll be good once she gets older.  Her mother is a crazy, pain in the butt cow.

Not much else going on around our parts.  Loaded a handful of babies up yesterday and took them to the sale barn.  None I was too fond of so it didn't hurt my feelings much to see them go.  But the longer they are at the house, the harder it will be to part with them.

Besides that, I've been busy at the shelter.  It's going really well and it is so fulfilling.  I love working with the dogs.  And several have been adopted which makes my heart happy.  Now as I post the pictures on my site, the shelter is putting stars on their kennels saying they are a "star on the internet".  How cute is that!  And how cute is this puppy I played with on Saturday!!

Hope you all have a fabulous week.

I love baby animals as well......human babies not so much! LOL! I loved my human baby, but not others nearly as much.

You are doing a wonderful thing for those dogs and I admire you for it. I like taming babies too, although ours are probably quieter to start with. It is so nice when they get friendly and you can handle them so much better all their lives.

Love his ears!!! Your photos are so great and they HAVE to help to get them adopted. I hate the through the cage photos you see everywhere. You're a good egg, ya know?

It would be great if all your blog buddies put a link on their sites to your 4 Paws Project. I'm sure the news about the dogs would get around even faster. And I almost think that pup is just about as cute as mine. You do take good pictures.

How great you are working at the shelter. How wonderful for the sweet animals... if I did work at shelter I imagine I would end up an animal "hoarder"!

This shelter work of yours is a match made in heaven, isn't it? It's so good that you're helping to find these dogs a good home! I'm always sharing your pics on fb, (I have several friends in the Waco area) and this guy in particular has tickled quite a few fancies!!!
