Chasing the Sun

Every evening I've been trying to get pictures of the calves.  But usually I have my hands full and then it gets dark.  This new time puts me in such a hurry!  I usually only have about 30 minutes of light when I get in from work.  And that's if I come straight home.

So I get home, run in the house to change clothes.  Run back out the door.  Feed the dogs.  Trot out to the barn.  Go in the calf pen and give out "treats".  Every day I'm getting a few more eating out of my hand.  I just love it.  But I can't feed out of both hands, hold the can between my legs AND take pictures.  I'm good but not that good!  The calves have started waiting for me at the gate now.  They're not spoiled or anything.  ;o)

Then I run back to the house and play soccer with Diesel.  Have I told y'all Diesel LOVES soccer.  I kick the ball, he runs and brings it back.  We've destroyed two soccer balls.  One in the last few days.  He's gotten really good though.  Sometimes when I kick it, he jumps and grabs it out of the air!  Pretty awesome.

In between kicking the ball for Diesel, Pepper brings me her tennis ball.  So I kick the soccer ball, then try to get the tennis ball from Pepper and throw it, in time for Diesel to bring his ball back!  Those two keep me busy.  And then there's Lucky.  He just wants to be loved on.

He hadn't been on the blog in awhile so I thought I'd post his picture.  He's still camera shy so y'all are lucky I could get a decent picture!  But he's doing awesome.  Great member of the family.  Glad he found us last year.  Hope everyone is having a good week!

You should buy a horse Jolly Ball for Diesel. The BF's Golden Retriever is a little obssesed with balls and these take a lot longer to destroy. =) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your blog!

I hated it when I worked and it was already dark when I got home. Dogs make my heart smile too and I am glad you are working taking all those photos at the shelter.
