Tip for You Girls

I found out something very important yesterday.  Thought I would share with y'all.

Tip #1: Wear short dress and high heels to feed store.

Yes, do it!  You will be amazed at the service you receive!  I wasn't thinkin' clearly when I got dressed for work yesterday morning.  I failed to think about me going to Tractor Supply to get some donkey supplies.

The husband bugged me until I allowed him to take a picture before I left the house that morning.  So that's why you have this...

So I walk into TSC and head to the back.  Grab one of those feed carts.  I heard a guy say something to another.  I'm sure they thought who is this lady and what the heck is she doing in here.  I went over to pick up some range cubes and they only had one bag left.  I bent over to grab it and the manager hurried up beside me.  He told me I was dressed to nicely to load the bag, he should do it.  I told him there was a hole in the bag.  He said he would discount it for me.  Really? How nice of you.  He also got tape out and fixed the hole, then loaded it onto my cart.

He followed me around so I had him load a bag of all stock feed and get me some wormer.  Why not, huh?  He was being so helpful!  He told me to be sure and tell the guys up front to help me out.  Whatever!

I checked out and of course was asked if I needed help with the feed.  No, I can manage.  Geez, I unload tons (actual tons) of feed by myself.  I swagger my lil high heeled self outside to the truck.  Bet they didn't know I was in a filthy dirty truck!  I pull the cart up to the truck and notice the people in the truck next to me staring.  I put the tailgate down and hear "Honey, you just wait, he'll help you!"  At that, I grab a sack of feed and throw it in the truck.  Poor lil man didn't even make it around his truck before I had the first sack loaded.  The couple looked at me in shock.  The lady said "Well, just like I tell him about our granddaughters, country girls are strong."  I laugh and tell them I usually don't go to the feed store in heels.  She smiled and said, "yes, those heels did throw us."  Then I bent down and threw the other bag of feed in the back.

The whole experience was hilarious.  If they only knew the "real" me!  I go in that store all the time and they never once ask if I need help.  Last time, they had a tall pallet of cubes and I was on my tippy toes trying to get bags off the top.  Did anyone come over, no!

So girls, use your assets!  Put those skirts and heels on and head to the feed store.  You'll get great service and discounts!

LMAO! It is funny isn't it? I'm always embarassed if they want to help me.....not that I get asked if I need help much. I guess my little brick shithouse self looks pretty capable! You do look pretty smokin' though! ;)

Been there done that and yes it works! It is awesome! But truthfully, I am just fine doing it myself. Brings on a good upper body workout you know!

Work it! Work it!! LOL! I moved South 20 years ago (I'll always be a Yankee here). I'm perfectly capable of pushing my buggy of groceries out to the car. I mean really! I pushed it all over the store for the last hour! I have to remind my self that in the South, it's custom to offer help to a woman and polite of the woman to accept it.

Good advice Kit , and it doesn't hurt that you look like such a cutie in that outfit!

Well look at those dimples! Great smile!I guess this just shows that dressing like a lady brings out the chivalry in men. Nothin' wrong with that!

I hate equality. What were those women libbers thinking? It does men good to help the helpless (even if were not really, just don't tell them). No wonder that boy wanted to take your picture.

I don't own a pair of high heels. I'd fall over if I wore them. ;)
And I wouldn't look as good as you, but it's a great story! :)

Girl you sure do dress up nice! I sure know what you mean. I used to unload 100 lb feed bags for the cows and now I only have to do 50 lbs which is real nice. But some guys have no clue that just because your dressed up doesn't mean that you have no muscle! Every time I go get a truck load of feed they ask if I have someone to unload all that feed for me, I look at them like they just come off the turnup truck ;)

Same thing happened to me at the mechanic so now Steve sends me to pick up parts and pay the bill so we can get it cheaper. LMAO men are such suckers. And it is awful that we have that power or that we have to dress up to get better service lol!

Very nice!!!

Work that to your advantage, then you will only have to unload.

You look so beautiful all dressed up and they just don't see that at a feed store very ofter! Kinda ticks ya off didn't it? I mean what is wrong with the jeans look? like I said before, my older (lots older) friend uses her assets all the time and it always works for her and always has. I might add she is not a skinny thing either.....well it's true! LOL

Thank Goodness it was you he found to help out. Check out my new K9 Partner King - he had been scheduled to be destroyed on 8/3/2010 but we were able to work with a couple of friends logistically and I picked him up Saturday. You have to wonder what would make someone just leave their animal to fend for themselves! http://ragingbearranch.blogspot.com/2010/08/meet-king-and-follow-his-journey.html

That's it. I'm buying myself some heels and a pretty dress. At my age though, I bet they would be too busy laughing, to lift a finger!
LOL!
