Bikini Challenge-One Month Down

I know I'm a day early with my post but I've got nothing else.  With all the rain and freezin' temps, we spent the weekend indoors working on taxes.  YUCK!  So a day early update is what you're gettin'.

I can't believe it's been a month since I started the challenge.  It seemed like I started out slow but have gained a lot of ground.  My running times have really improved.  So much so that I entered a 5K in April at a race I used to attend annually.  I really think I will place in my age group especially with my continued training till April.  I'm very excited to be gettin' into race shape.  Races used to be "my" thing.  The one thing I was pretty good at and loved to do.  The thing I had that no one else did.  You ever have a "thing"?

Anyhow, I thought I would show you where all the workout magic takes place.  I like to call it my workout closet.

Really it's our spare bedroom.  But it's not much bigger than a closet!  There you have it, my treadmill, mat and there are some weights out of sight.

And this is my view when I'm running.  I usually stare at the wall.  Very boring.  I told the husband that a nice flat screen would fit perfectly where the hat is.  He agreed.  Then he could lay on the bed and watch TV while I run.  So sweet.

Are you ready to find out what kind of results I've had in my workout closet this month?  Drum roll......

I have lost 6 lbs and 7 1/4 inches so far!

Oh yea, I'm kicking butt!

Way to Go!!! I have followed in the shadow for a while, but I must speak out. I also am trying to trim up to show in "english attire". Who knew that a girl with reiners and cowhorses would go english.... The attire is NOT flattering for the just over fifty something body. Try them on in the dressing room.. REALITY..

Great job! Yahoooooo! Your treading sights are as exciting as mine - the wall and a window but can only see the moon! Your running achievements have inspired me....not sure I'll ever do an actual run because I'm not good at it but at least I'm doing some jogging now! Great job - I'm sure you're starting to feel great and look great!

Awesome! Persistence pays off. I agree, a TV where the hat is would be much more entertaining!

OH you go girl! I really need to get motivated to run more than 2x a week. I would get there eventually like that, but it would take FORever! Keep up the good work!
