I saw this story the day before Lucky Dog showed up at the house. It is amazing how much an animal loves their owners. Maybe cause I'm a crazy dog lady, but it really touched me.
These kind of stories are why I wanted to raise another Guide Dog puppy. These dogs are so special.
The stories that some of the blind people tell about their Guide dogs.
One who led a blind partner out of one of the twin towers during 911, through all that caos and who knows what, they got out before the second tower collapsed. To the one who faithfully told his owner no not to cross the street because someone ran a red light and the dog seen the car and stopped his partner, even though his person kept telling him to go.
Dogs are amazing creatures.... Look up Guide Dogs for the Blind, San Rafael calif, for more stories.
Our first puppy that our daughter raised for her Senior High School project is about ready to be matched with a blind person. He is in the final stages of his training, we are so proud that he made it as far as he has. We cant wait to hear that he has graduated with a new partner!
Wow! What a story! You have me crying! I think I need to start keeping kleenex by my computer! So thankful the family survived that wreck and hopefully they can get their beloved dog back soon!
OMGosh!!! That is the coolest yet saddest story!! What a neat dog and the lady that found her is awesome!!! And no you are NOT the crazy dog lady!! Your a woman with an awesome and kind heart!!
Omigosh! What a wonderful story! There is no way that you're a crazy dog lady, my friend. You're a woman with an incredibly warm and giving heart - and if that makes you "crazy" , then I just wish there were more crazy people like you in the world!
