A Lazy Day

We had a pretty lazy day here. Not much goin' on. I think we both just needed to slow down and rest for a day. I took the camera out with us when we went to feed. We caught a first...Stubby ate out of my hand.

Once he realized what a great concept this was, he didn't want to stop. He is such a good bull. We had to move some of the guys around this afternoon and he works so well for us. Rent-a-husband might disagree due to the time he had with him previously but for us, he does great.

Then we went out into the pasture to look at the tank. We've been gettin' some rain and wanted to check the water level. Zena thought she needed to take a dip. Sorry about all the wind on the video.

The girls were upset I didn't bring any cubes for them. They just knew I had some hidden somewhere.

Then the bull headed toward the tank. I'm still pretty leery of this guy. I took this video just in case things went bad and someone found my body. At least they would know what had happened.

You crack me up! Videos as evidence! :) I'm glad you had a mellow day. We all need that. My weekend was busy, busy, busy. I'm wiped out! I need a day off to recover from my weekend!

I just can't believe how green everything is!
I loved the videos , but I had to laugh at you using it as evidence. You think that bad boy wouldn't stomp your video too, if he had half a chance??
He's gorgeous though... ;-)

And I LOVE hearing your voice!!

Sent ya an e-mail for the pay it forward. Had a huge horse show this weekend.

Don't you think the heifers/cows would have protected you? You are the cookie lady after all.

I LOVE lazy days! I think you are so brave. I have this total fear of cows. Weird huh? My husband has this bucking cow. Yes, a cow, a girl, that was bucked. Well, she came charging one day while we were feeding them, and I hid behind my husband, who said I was stupid for hiding behind him. So, I then went and hid by some bushes while I petted my horse who also is terrified of "Peaches" (the cow). Well, I turned around, and there Peaches was, about 10 feet from me, staring me down. It was Peaches, me in the middle, and my 3 year old gelding. My husband told me to shoo her away, but she didn't budge. Neither did I, my husband had to come save me. I am such a dork. :)

So, you made me laugh when you were videoing the bull, as evidence, just incase he was to run ya over! I am not sure I would have even stood there to video tape!! :) It was fun to hear your Texan Accent. It's different than the Louisiana Cajun accent over here.

I just love all your cow pics and video. All I have are goats. I'll have to post some video of them. They can be pretty funny.

I woulda gone the other direction at the first sign of him moving. You see the way he flung that head around? That would leave a mark.
