The Sun is Showing Thru the Clouds

I think brighter days are ahead of me now. After three days of crying, I feel better. I made it thru the night without bawlin' (but the two Tylenol PMs I took might have played a factor in that!). So there was a reason I was drooling on my pillow this morning when the husband called to see if I was awake!
Anyhoo....I want to say THANK YOU for all the kind words you left me. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful group of people out there. Y'all are awesome!
Now, I was "scrapped" yesterday so I have to start thinkin' of some great things you all don't already know about me. Hmmmm. I thought y'all learned your lesson from the last meme not to be asking me such things cause you never know what I am going to say. Alrightie then, I will see what I can come up with and get back to ya. Until then, peace out my pretties! (Yeah, I know that doesn't make sense! Work with me here!)

I am so terribly sorry! I just read this I hope all gets better for you (and everyone else having a crappy December) I know myself this has been the worst month of my entire life. Animal and human deaths alike.

Glad you are feeling a bit better. Tylenol PM is magic - magic I tell ya!

You'll come up with a list of 10 - no problem.

What do you do for work anyway?

Glad that you are feeling better. I tried to send an email to you, from both my aol and gmail accounts. Neither went through...I soon discovered that while typing the message my internet connection went out. At that point I was so emotionally drained...I gave up.
Happier Days to You!

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. There will be those Duke moments and it will hit you right in the gut, but you'll be better soon. I can tell how much you loved him!
Little advice, just don't go and see Marley and Me anytime soon. Great movie, but probably not what you want to see right now.
Be strong!

I am going to go love on my Dillon dog right now and dry my eyes... I am so sorry for your loss.

But I do think the photograph you took was surely a blessing...

Glad to hear you're feeling better. You'll miss him, of course, so sad moments are allowed.

I love the photo!

Kit, just read about Duke and it hit me straight in the gut. Reminded me of my precious Rugby and how tough it is to lose such a loving friend and companion. The memories get sweeter over time though. You and George are in my thoughts and prayers! I share your loss and grief with you. Brenda

I am so sorry about Duke. At least you have many pictures to remember him. Just like the family picture with his feet up in the air. You're in my thoughts and prayers!

It's cliche, but time heals all wounds. And I agree with the DVM's wife, don't see Marley and Me yet. Good movie, but a total tearjerker, I have a headache today from crying over it!
Don't forget to remember the good times, tell the fun stories about Duke. He'd want you laughing and remembering him in good spirits! :)

Ditto to DVM's comment about Marley. My friends just told me the same thing. I read the book and wanted to see the movie until losing my dog.

There's something about dog loving bloggers that just sucks me right in. I'm glad today is a better day for you and hopefully the first of many to come.

Take care now. I am certain that Duke is still around you....

A beautiful photo Wifey..the sun will peak through for you, a little more each day. The cloud cover will come back periodically, too. Because of your love for Duke! It truly is a 'good' thing as I will attest to! Those cloud times will bring a fresh smile to your day, as the memories fill your heart with warmth.

I'm glad your feeling a little bit better. He's gone in the physical sense but he's still there. Just like our Shawna...we had her cremated and her ashes are in our living room near our fire place (one of her favorite spots), she's here watching tv with us.

It's going to be rough for a little while that's for sure (we're still finding tufts of black dog hair a little over a month since her passing) and it's the little things like that that will have you on the verge of tears but it does get better.
