Friday Photos

First, can I just say, I really hate the shorter days. I leave in the dark and return home in the dark. How in the world am I suppose to enjoy my new camera if I'm not able to use it?? Can someone please answer me that! I have been in a tizzy about it all week. The couple of days I did manage to get home just before sunset were spent taking care of the animals. Yesterday was the only day I might have had time to take some photos but I had to move bulls by myself and I really didn't want a camera in my hand! The task involved moving the bull that chased me before and I know I would save the camera before myself!

Anyways, I did take some pictures last weekend. Oh, I've had several people ask what kind of camera I bought. It is a Canon Rebel XSi. I just received a new telephoto lens but haven't been able to use it yet. Plan on lots of photo time this weekend! Okay, here are some pics from the new camera.....just an odd asortment.
Harley was out working cattle with me.

Minnie and Pearl "Black Ops Commando Donkeys"

Some Fall foliage
"Ditch" the leg humping pitbull

And some cute lil donkeys. They were in a pasture by the arena where we bucked the calves last Sunday. The husband pulled the truck and trailer over on the road so I could take their pictures. They were too cute!

Okay, I promise great photos from this weekend. Well, maybe mediocre photos. I don't want to push my capabilities! ;o)

My girlfriend has Canon too (don't know which one) but the standard zoom on hers works while taking videos too...mine doesn't. She took pics of me showing Colt this past summer while my husband did too. Hers were so much better.

I'm interested in seeing what your new zoom will do for you.

I love the pics of the donkeys...cute!

Minnie & Pearl...bet you two can hear really good, huh!

So with the telephoto you'll be able to take sneaky shots of the JRT. hint hint hint

Those donkeys are tooo cute..really nice balance to the photo donkeys framed on the right but considering cropping - the photo is the donkeys not the tree. Humbly submitted...: )

Donkeys are so cute! That's so awesome that you got a new camera.

And BTW- you can laugh at my female humpin dog all you want... that only means the next dog you get will be a humper too! (Or maybe it'll be a cat that humps! Now THAT would be funny- and painful!)

I just bought a Canon Xsi this summer, and a telephotos lens. While I am glad that I had those summer months to play with it, there are some shots that you can practice on. Outdoor shots in the dark, Christmas lights, nightscape.

Try some still lifes inside, with the tungsten setting on the WB they turn out with a nice golden glow.

Looking forward to seeing your creativity.

Just think…Wifey..only 16 days until the longest day of the year, and then it is more daylight ahead! More photo ops too, and yep, even more work you will find that has to be done!
Harley is the cutest! Our first yorkie thought he was a stock dog too! Went everywhere the Border Collies did and never got hurt…surprisingly...until..
Have a great weekend and Muddy Boots had great suggestions for you!
