Bullriding 101

A young guy came out to the house yesterday for some pointers on bullriding. The husband, a great bullriding teacher, took him out back for a lesson on Pearl.

The guy wasn't too sure about getting on little Pearl. It was explained to him that donkeys are very good to practice on because they don't have a front end. So it helps you learn to squeeze with your legs and push.

Pearl doesn't look real excited about this...........

Time to get on!

Minnie watchin' closely

Technique instruction

Alright, time to put it all together...

Treats for Pearl after the lesson.

Pearl didn't seem to enjoy it much!

I LOVE Pearl! Hope the cowboy understood his lesson. Did you ever watch the Ty Murray program about teaching a bunch of used up has beens to ride Bulls? It was a stitch!!!

LOL!! I have a donkey that will buck, (for his next lesson!) That is the funniest post, man those little donkeys are universal "tools" we use ours to heel!
