The Importance of a Mom

Whether you are human or animal, moms are important. They provide us with love, nurturing and support. They feed us when we're hungry or clean us when we're dirty. We may squirm, roll our eyes or back talk but they do what is best for us.

I watched one of our cows give her calf a "lick-down" the other afternoon. The calf acts just like a kid. The expression on it's face was just like mine when my mother would lick her finger and wipe off something on my face.

Happy Birthday mom! Hope you have a great day. Glad I live far enough away that you can't use that licked finger technique anymore! Growing up, she always said I looked like an orphan. Can you believe that!
