Mud, Water and Naked-ness

So our pipes thawed on Saturday and all the snow melted away.  And on Sunday we noticed this...

That's right, water!!!!  So the Husband went under the house to check it out.  Diesel was wondering what the heck he was doing.

After investigating on the drier side, he knew he would have to go in here.  Where all the water was...

The leak is right under the porch on this side.  Easily accessible.  He wasn't a happy camper.

Diesel still doesn't know what is going on here!  Turns out the leak is in the middle of a "t" in a galvanized pipe.  So the repair job isn't as easy as we expected.  So out he came and it was time to hose him off.  He had me do it at first.  Heeheehee!  But soon he took the hose from me.  Dang it!

It was a good thing the temps were in the 60s.  Amazing, Texas weather.  Go from the teens to the 60s in less than 12 hours.  Gotta love it.  He stripped in the yard. (Good thing we live out in the middle of nowhere!)

He kept thinking I was taking his picture after he put his clothes on the fence.  I assured him I did not.  But I did get his lil white leg...

I know, it's too much!  Please try to contain yourselves!

Well I was wondering where the nekkid pictures were! Gosh, that really stinks to have to go under there! I said to EJ, you can sure tell they live in Texas, hosing off and stripping down in February! Tell The Husband we are thinking of him for his surgery next week. My uncle is having his kidney removed that same day!

Glad it wasn't more major! In pic 4, Diesel's expression is priceless. He looks so very confused about what dad is doing! I cracked up.

Ross would have not trusted me with a camera like that at all! I still bet at 60 degrees that water was still cold!

How funny!
Glad the temps were a bit warmer cause that sure would be a cold wash-off.

Why do all cowboys have white leggs? (I guess cause the only shorts they ever wear has a whole in front). I would still hate to be hosed down at 60 degrees. Brrr!

Whew! Ya had me wondering there for a minute-where this nakedness bit was going to come in! Stinks about the leak, but I guess you're lucky you didn't have to pay sombody to come out & fix it. I'm sure it woulda cost extra for them to end up lookin like your hubby did!

Was he tempted to give you a hug while he was all muddy???

Oh my, yes, well....there was no nekkid photo's around here. But that sad puddle kind of looks like what was underneath our dishwasher.

Will have to remind my husband that at the very least, HE didn't have to crawl through mud to find the leak.

Hope that you got it fixed.

Luv a man who's not afraid of gettin down and dirty!! If that was my dog she would've been trying to get under that porch to "help".

We had an outdoor copper pipe break during the freeze we had up here, too.

Fortunately ours was just an unused extension so only the water that was in it, froze.

Hope it's not too hard to fix!

oh no that stinks...at least it was in a spot that was easy to get to even if it was a muddy mess. Oh and by the way I am jealious of the 60 degrees...its in the single digits here.

My hubs wouldn't let me anywhere near him with a hose. LOL

A leak at a T sounds ugly. I remember my dad swearing about T's back when I was a kid. Hope the repair goes smoothly.

He was talking to a friend in Texas today and the friend was relaying the same kind of temperature fluctuations where he is. Right now, I would kill (figuratively of course) for anything in the 60s.
