Yesterday, the husband and I went to a friend's house to watch/help him buck some young bulls. I watch and take pictures, husband does all the helping! He's known for his rough stock and it amazes me how rank his stock remains year after year. They have some good genetics!
Here are a few pictures from the morning...
See what I mean! We bucked about 50 bulls and nearly all of them were great. Can't beat those odds! The funniest thing happened when the last bull was bucked. He wouldn't leave the pen so they turned their dogs out on him. You can't beat a good bull working dog.
Who would have ever thought they would be Jacks! Those two sure worked hard to get the bull out. Bullet on the head, Pepper on the heels. He didn't pay them to much mind, but he did finally leave. It was too funny! Bullet and Pepper meant business, that's for sure!

Wow! Those are some rank bucking bulls. What is the contraption attached to their backs?
I was thinking "OMGOSH, Jack Russells!!!" How funny!!!
I swear the best Jack's are farm and ranch Jack's. When I see a condo dwelling person get a Jack I ask, "do you have a job for this Jack?" Because if they don't put them to work the rest is chewed up history! LOVE those bulls and the Jacks!
wilsonc-I will do a post on that tomorrow. I always have questions about it. I have a really good picture of exactly how it works and what it does. So stay tuned!
Tough little boogers those JRT's.
You got some amazing shots!
Wow, those are great shots of the bulls. What is the thing on their back?
That second to last picture is kkkkkrazy! Lookie those little dogs workin' that big bully!
My cowboy wants a fearless bull working dog. Just wait till I tell him we need a Jack Russel. I'll be interested on the post on that contraption on the bulls too.
Those bull pics are wonderful - especially that 3rd one -- wowzha -- imagine it would take some really sweet words to get them adopted!!!! Jacks - they are very persistent.... I have a mini aussie that would fit right in!
WOW!!! 3rd and 4th bulls look amazing!! I would definitely be edgy watching a rider on them LOL!
The bulls look amazing and your photography does too! :) Come say hi when you can. :)
The bulls are awesome!
We work two Borders with a Jack as the mover...works really well.
Boy, I sure wouldn't want to be the cowboy to ride those bulls! Too, funny Mr Bull looks like he is bored with all the noise!
I think bull numbah three appeared in a ballet I once saw.....
Seriously, they are some fine athletes and have moves!
Wow, look at the height those bulls are getting!! Those little dogs look very fierce.
Those bulls are catching huge air!! Awesome! Love the jacks too, who knew they'd become such popular cowboy dogs? But they are! And FIERCE!
I love JRT's they are a hoot! I swear my little Jasper thinks he's a cattle dog sometimes....but it's usually when I don't want him to be.
LMAO at those JRT's!!! That's the best thing I've seen all day!!
Great buckin' bulls too...with stock like that, it's gonna take a pretty good rider to make a ride. Awesome pics too!
LOL... looking at the pics, I was itching to have a photoshop program so that I could put some wings on those suckers! They actually look like they're flying... if none too gracefully!!
Gimme a JRT anyday - I love my 2 to pieces!!
Wow - your photos of the dancing bull are amazing.
OK so this is where the term Holy Cow! comes from.
