My Weekend Boys

We spent our weekend in Stephenville buckin' bulls.  Eyebrows was entered in a futurity Saturday morning.  Stubby was buckin' in a bullridin' later that evening.  And the 2 year olds were bucked on Sunday.  The boys did well but we came home a little discouraged.  There were 96 bulls entered into the futurity.  Lots of good solid bulls.  There were two outstanding bulls which split first place.  The luck of the draw, one bucked right before Eyebrows, the other, right after.  We ended up 37th.  Eyebrows tripped which knocked him down in the standings but he still wouldn't have won any money.

Stubby did okay as well.  Not his best trip but it was only the second time he bucked with a rider.  The guy rode him and placed 2nd or 3rd in the long round.  Then on Sunday, we bucked Tadpole, Smoke and Hammerhead.  Of course, Tadpole is my favorite so I'll show you his video.

Buckin' Bulls - what fun! I enjoy seeing how this all works! Are the belts belted on them of a certain weight?

Growing Up a Country Girl- Yes, the "dummies" (box) comes in different weights so you can use lighter ones for the babies and heavier ones for the bigger guys.

Sorry you were a bit dissapointed. Don't give up hope on these boys. I love their names! I hope I see one of your bulls in the PBR someday! :)

Stubby did well, all things considered! Don't be too disappointed, they're young yet and they are talented.

Keep up the good work, it will pay off in the long run! They both looked pretty good, it is hard when there is so much competiion! Like Shirley said, they are young yet. (like I know anything about bucking bull;)

Sorry Eyebrow's didn't do as good as you wanted!! But it sounds promising for Stubby!!! It has been a blast to watch/hear of his progress over the last year that I have been reading! I cannot wait to hear what the future brings!!

Foudn you at Redheaded stepchild's palce and thought I would come check you out.. How neat that you raise bulls for rodeo. I live in the country but we were taught to AVOID the bull not rope him up and ride him lol. But I do love watching the rodeo. LOVE it and how some of those guys walk away amazes me. I would be crawling to the nearest chiropractor who would then fuss at me for doing it lol
