Doin' Some Landscapin'

With all the rain and warm temps, the grass has been growing.  Gettin' a little high around the place.  The husband and I decided it was time to do some mowin'.  So we put on our work clothes, slapped on some leather gloves and opened the pasture gate.  hehe

What better way to mow the grass.

The girls liked it.  They did an excellent job down the driveway and by the barn.

What's this!  Laying down on the job!  Just can't find good help anymore these days!

LOL! Especially when The Husband is allergic to grass! I used to turn my horse out in the yard, still do in the back yard. I don't have enough front yard to matter anymore. But Champ and the goats keep the back yard mowed right nice!

Don't the mowers leave ya little "lawn ornaments" ?

Can I borrow your lawn mooers? Of course you might not get them back after I would fancy some spotty cows around :P I miss our cows.

I use that very method. Sometimes I do not mean to, but you know how that is.

All my pretty new green grass is under water today, I am afraid pig is going to be swept away

So jealous of all the green!

That beats the heck out of my 6 hours I will have to spend on the mower if it ever warms up enough for our grass to grow.

that's how I mow our house lawn - turn a horse or two loose on it. They line up for the job : )

OH LOL!!! They are so handy that way!! I've had help like that from wandering herds before, but they sure left me a nasty mess LOL!

Wonderful method, I use horses and they work just as well...the laying down on the job part, too.

Hey, they cut and fertilize all at the same time!

I do that from time to time with the horses. The only problem with that is a couple of them really like my pansies as well. Doesn't take long for a horse to totally screw up my flower beds. LOL

Did ya know that they're not actually laying down on the job? They're laying down to flatten it for you, so it won't look so unsightly when they've missed spots!
Ummm, well okay... it was a thought anyway! ;)

And CTG Ponies said it perfectly! That's what I call TOTAL lawn service!

And they take very little gas, in fact they create gas!

We do that with our horses. I love to have them right outside my window. We have a few cows. They got out once last summer. It was dark & they were gone. Black cows in the black of night. We saddled up and started riding the nearby alfalfa fields. When we weren't making progress, we split up between horse, ATV & car and found the suckers in the neighbors yard a mile down. They can't be trusted. Ever! :)
