Patience, I Need Thee

Have I told y'all lately that I have a monster on my hands?!  An eight month old LARGE and OVERLY STRONG monster.

He gave me a workout yesterday.  I was trying to come in the front door and he decided he wanted in too.  Oh my, talk about fighting a lion.  That's what it was like.

And about a week ago, he dropped this huge log on my foot.  As I hopped around saying such nice things, he stole my house shoe.  So I was hoppin', yellin' and tryin' to get my shoe back!  It's never a dull moment with Diesel around.

I noticed yesterday that he is as tall as Lucky Dog now.  Seeing him everyday, I never think he's growing.  But he is.

Lucky Dog is his BFF.  They run and play with each other.  It's pretty funny to watch.  Lucky is such a good dog.  I can't believe anyone would ever harm him.  He still gets scared when you make sudden movements with your arms or raise your voice but he's a lot better.

Lucky is still contained to the yard.  If you let him out, he runs off looking for rabbits.  I know it's just his old survival habits so I can't get too upset.  I don't know how long he was on his own.  We've learned he hates vehicles so if he runs off, we just get in the truck and drive down the road.  That usually sends him running straight to the house!  And if we take the dogs to the tank, we put Lucky on a lead rope.

And then there is Zena and Pepper.  Can't leave them out.  This was the look they gave me this evening.  So pitiful!  Diesel drives them insane too.

Zena will tell him when she's had enough.  Pepper is a little more passive aggressive.  She enjoys laying on his bed making him mad.  He'll just sit and bark until I go outside to make her move.  He's such a big baby!

I know they are all your babies! Nothing wrong with that though! My dog sits and barks if he doesn't get to go upstairs with us at night.

Beautiful babies you've got there Wife! I love all 4 of my dogs, but sometimes I do fantasize about a world with not canines! Especially when they are walking so close behind me they are almost between my legs!!

Good Lord he's getting big! You better teach him who the Alpha Dog is in your family PDQ or you're going to be sleeping on the porch and he's going to be sleeping in the house!!LOL!

Yes hez a big one! Wonder what he weighs!! Our Rudy grew big as he got older and now weighs 96 lbs. -- but a big pup is a whole different story - they don't mean to knock you over!

Congrats on your "challenge" this past week... Way to go!

OH he is getting so big!!! He sure is gorgeous!! I am glad that he and Lucky Dog are BFF's, everyone needs one of those!!

I feel your pain with needing the patience....I have had all 6 of our Aussie pups in the house since they had been born, last night around 3:30 am I drug the kennel into the garage because they will NOT shut up LOL!! They are crying and howling!! UGHH!! It's much quieter now LOL!!

Love your dogs almost as much as I love my own. Their faces just say it all, don't they.

Our male rottie, Handsome, always stands and stares at Missy to get off the dog bed so he can have it... problem is he thinks BOTH beds are his. Just like a man, eh?

Well I fially got caught up on your posts so here's a comment for the lot. Your neice is beautiful she grew up to be model material.Way to go on the Bikini challenge I am in awe more than the 6 pounds I find the 7 1/4 inches remarkable. To me that would be more important than the pounds.Your dogs are great, Diesel is big and every time I see Lucky Dog i think how aptly named he is because he found you guys.

Wow..I was alittle surprised to see how big Deisel has grown so quickly! You sure have your hands( and lap ) full. It's so fun to hear all about your furry kids.

That big baby probably thinks he is a lap dog doesn't he? He is beautiful. The little one always know how to get under their skin don't they. Once my 100 lb year old Doby excited it was dinner time decided to start spinning about the time I bent over and his head and my nose connected! Yep, that's right I had a 2 black eyes and a broken nose and he didn't even know what happened Mama was just laying on the floor. You gotta watch the head don't ever forget that they just fling it any where!

I just found your blog via Living it Up Country(!). I'm enjoying the adorable critters and also the healthful motivation (I SO need that!). Anyways, I'm tagging along now. I'm also loving your vast assortment of colorful cows. We have your basic black/white, for the most part :) -Tammy
