Dallas Part Two

Prior to the bullridin', Gary Allen put on a concert mid-field.

I enjoy his songs but let me tell ya, it was SOOOOO loud.  A lady actually came thru our suite with a bag of ear plugs.  The husband stood outside the suite in a back area to get away from the loudness.  It was pretty bad.

Finally, it was time for the bullridin'.  Let the fireworks begin!

I can't imagine sitting right near the arena.  We could feel the heat from the flames where we were sittin'.  The field was split in two.  There was an arena on each side.  Okay, you can see the bottom of the big screen in the upper right hand corner.  That gives you a idea of how huge it is.

You notice how small the guys horseback are in the picture above.  Well, that doesn't keep me from locating my major crush!  Yes, I have a crush.  It's Mike White.  He's a bullrider but recently had surgery.  I spotted him in the arena.

Mike

I squealed with delight and told the husband, "Look, there's Mike!"  He couldn't believe I was able to pick him out.  Then, of course, I was zoomin' my lil camera to it's max trying to get a good pic.  He's just too cute. The husband and rent-a-husband make so much fun of me.  But the rent-a-husband actually got me a signed picture many moons ago.  And the husband actually got Mike to come up a few years back at a PBR and take his picture with me.  I was like a giddy school girl.  But the husband didn't like that I kept the picture on my nightstand.  What's up with that?

Mike 2

So after I finished stalking Mike with my camera, I watched the bullriding.  And look who came on the big screen, our good friend Toby.  He's half of Boyd and Floyd Bucking Bulls.  Toby is actually responsible for the husband and I meeting.  And we held our wedding reception bullriding at his arena.

Toby

Then there's Tandy, the PBR doctor.  He's done all of the husband's shoulder surgeries.  Super nice guy and awesome doctor.

Tandy

Too bad no one pushed the replay button, we might have gotten to see rent-a-husband on the big screen.  He was the replay judge.  No such luck though.  And where he was sittin', he was out of view from us.  I couldn't get a picture of him in his black and white stripped judge shirt.

During a break in the action, Justin McBride did a lil mini-concert.  He was actually pretty good.  I have to say I was impressed.  I think he got me when he covered a Chris LeDoux song.  I ♥ Chris LeDoux.  I was singing along.  Took me back to my college days.

We had such a good time and stayed out WAY past my bedtime.  Sunday, the husband and I were both draggin'.  Just can't party all night like we used to!

Whoo hoo! Sounds like you had a great time! I like Gary Allen, but The Paintiff and I are both too old for concerts. I like to hear the singing and concert music is.. just.. too .. loud!

Wow what a place --- and how fun for you guys! We took in a Jason Aldean concert at the our State Fair last summer and hubby (with his bad knee) had to leave because all the kids stood up the entire time yelling dancing and singing -- you could hardly see the concert! This should have "old" people concerts!

Shhh! Listen! Do you hear that? It's me sulking because I wasn't invited!!
Girl, it sounds like you had a GREAT time, but the noise would driven me away, I think.
And what is it with men, when we have pictures of other men on our nightstands? Hmmm? I mean, that's just silly... innit?

It looks like ya'll had a blast. I love me some Gary Allen, I LOVE Chris LeDoux. When I was in high school and participating in FFA, I did an officer speech set to Life is a Highway. It was, like, the best speech Area V had ever heard!:o) You and the husband looked pretty darn spiffy at PBR! Thanks for the encouraging words you left for me on my last post.

What fun! I'm glad y'all enjoyed yourselves. I do hate how concerts can be so loud...

You haven't heard loud until you have been to a Hank Williams Jr. concert, now that was loud, the hubby made us leave after the second song because it was too, loud! I think Justin does a pretty good job myself. Wish I could of been there, thanks for sharing!

Lots of my friends went to this event, and loved it.

Glad you had fun!

By the way, do you know Shane Dunnam? He's one of my son's best friends, and clowns a lot. He lives around Weatherford, I think. No, maybe Stephenville.

Oh, Lord. I'm getting old.

Ah, what a time you had! Wow!
We met Mike a couple years ago at a bull riding here. Nice guy.
And we love Justin's music. His cd is on the regular rotation in the barn and we play it all the time.

I went to a Dwight Yoakum concert years ago that was so loud it gave me a headache. Don't know why they think louder is better, I actually like to be able to enjoy the music. I guess they like things to be extreme at bullridings to get the crowd going.

Sorry I am a little late on this one but
Holy Cow. How cool. The Hunter and I use to never miss PBR. However with introduction of TLC it's not quite a priority.
I have to say, my crush is Justin Mcbride. Mike white is pretty cute too. Again with the Parallel lives thing. I love love love Chris Ledoux
