What's on the end of Cowboy Buddy's rope?

That would be a very angry Mad Dog!  We finally got him caught!!  I had my doubts it was going to happen this day either but the stars aligned.

Then I got the "Hey Wife, if you're not to busy hiding in the trees, taking pictures, you mind helping he out here?"

Well, I suppose I can remove myself from cover since you sat on the wild beast.  But y'all didn't see him initially try to tie him down and he got up.  Then the rope got around the horse's back legs, he started buckin', Mad Dog was runnin' and I thought the trees were the best place to be!

Alright, now we've got him tied down, just need the trailer to load him up.  Husband, can we get the trailer?  What, you're stuck?!

Good thing we had Rent-a-husband's truck there too!  Got the husband pulled out and over to Mad Dog.  Let's get him loaded!

Woo hoo!  Got him in without Rent-a-husband gettin' kicked untyin' the legs.

Now to get the rope off his neck.  They looked like monkeys hanging off the trailer.

The girls didn't know what to think about all this commotion.  I discussed with them that this is what happens with you are bad and don't get on the bus.  Believe me, you don't want to be bad.

Mad Dog was plenty UPSET with his new confinement.  He was snortin', huffin', puffin' and biting the trailer.

Now he's back at the house in the pen with all the other children.  I hope he doesn't corrupt them with his bad ways.

Oh my goodness! That bull is well named! I like the long rope; reckon that the further away from that bull the better, and good job cowboys! That picture biting the rails is priceless.

That is an angry little feller you have there.

There is one in every bunch isnt there?

Hmmm. Wait till he gains a couple hundred pounds. Then you'll have to call him Mister Mad Dog. Sir.

A local rancher's bulls occasionally make it onto our ranch as they are coming down from the mountains in the late fall, and he and his cowboys have to come get them, rope 'em and get 'em on the trailer. We tried to help once on our endurance Arabs - one which USED to be a Rushcreek ranch horse - and we were absolutely useless. Horses were comically terrified and we just tried to hang on and keep up!
Now I hang way back with my telephoto lens, on the ground, and take pictures. Leave the cowboyin' to the cowboys. ; )

I have to say, it's SO MUCH FUN to see someone else doing it, lol! This post had me rolling!! Your husband (and rent a husband) are awesome, they certainly get in there and get it done. I love that you hung back and took pics of it all for us. Looks like a wild time was had by all! That Mad Dog, he's a beastie one. He's gonna be a good bull :)

Oh my goodness, that last picture is awesome!! I have never seen a calf bite at the bars to get out!! ha ha ha!! And I think he was trying to bite the rope when your husband was tying him down!! What a stinker! I think his name suits him well. I don't blame you for hiding, I would have had a telephoto lens on there to make sure I was far enough away!
