Where Have the Cows Been?

It feels like it's been forever since I posted about the cattle. I guess when you see the same ones every day, you don't think it's very interesting. But I went over to the lease place with the husband this weekend and saw the babies. They are gettin' big! We will be weaning them in the next month.

Here are the brindles. Aren't they so pretty! One on the left is a heifer, one on the right is a bull.

Brindles

This is Doodle's calf. He was the one missin' with the other two cows on Saturday.

And of course, I couldn't go without taking Itty Bitty's picture. She is still the smallest thing out there. Smaller then calves born months after her. Cutie Patootie!

And some more relaxin'. The husband really likes the red/white heifer standing in the back. Which amazes me because she's out of one of my longhorns. He's not very partial to my longhorns. I sure hope she bucks!

And last but never least, my two favorite asses, Minnie and Pearl.

Are you sure you didn't get after those brindles with camo paint? I love 'em. Will the hubs not keep even the heifers if they can't buck? I'm thinking of here of Itty Bitty and that cute little one out of your longhorn... Of course I know the objective is to raise bucking stock but oh my... what cuties. But Minnie and Pearl are thieves... stole my heart, they did.

Wow! All your cows are gorgeous, but I really love the brindles!

Do they buck cows in competition? Or is that just for breeding purposes (i.e. if you are breeding bucking bulls, its a good idea to breed a cow that bucks and a bull that bucks)?

Brindles are my favorite. I especially like it when they have the Brahma look.

Those brindles make my eyes go funny. But I'm pretty partial to brindles since my little Trixie is brindle.

And the red headed heifer...before I even read your comment I was thinking look at her. WOW!

Those brindles are awesome. We are from angus & hereford & dairy country. Don't think I have ever seen a brindle.

I want Minnie and Pearl! The cows, beautiful. I came back from the fair the other day and of the 146 pictures I took, 100 of them were of all the cows. We love all love your Crazy M cow photos!

love the pics..looks like the girls are yaking (in photo 3) about hubby having a favorite! Or maybe they're just advising the little longhorn/cross to buck hard if she wants to stick around!?

Ahhhh.. Minnie and Pearl...cute names!

Those brindles are cool! Bet they are hard to see under a shady tree from any distance. The second little fella has neat face markings; what's his name?

I love longhorns! They have always facinated me, my one and only trip to Texas had me going on truck rides around the country side to get a look when I could find them! I do like the brindle also. But I love your two favorite asses!

Tell the Husband I am sitting here desperately curious about parentage on both the brindles and Doodle's lad.

Who doesn't love cow photos? Of nearly any sort? Cows just totally rock!

(Ironically though my captcha word is "mantis" lol not exactly cow like)

The brindles are absolutely gorgeous! I love looking at all the pics, but I sure wish we had smell-o'vision! I miss the smell of cows. Okay, I'm weird, but there ya go!

Oh and you have a cute ass. Both of 'em!
