Happy Dance

Yep, I'm doin' a happy dance. Can you picture it? Well if not, it looks a little like this..

And why am I doing a happy dance? I'll give you a clue.

Yea, that's not really a good clue, huh. So here it is, the husband got a job as a warehouse supervisor with Dr. Pepper! Go hubby! Go Dr. P! Go job!

The husband was laid off late March, yet for some reason our bills kept coming? What's up with that? He has been on unemployment since April and was within a week or so of runnin' out of benefits.

Lucky for us, we have a great friend that works for Dr. P. He let the husband know about the opening and put in a good word. The husband wowed them at the interview and he starts on Monday!

He is soooooo ready to get back to work. He never thought it would take so long to find another job. He figured he would work around the place for a couple months then get back to work. But it didn't quite happen that way.

I'm happy for him but I do have some mixed emotions. Cause now, who's gonna do the dishes? Or the laundry? Or run my errands? Fix my lunch? Cook my supper? Hmmm, maybe I'm not as excited as I originally thought?!

You are just super! I love coming to your blog, you make me laugh! Loved the video, but it sounds to me as that dance should be a slow one with the hubby! Good luck to him on his new job! HMMMMMM maybe it wouldn't be so bad if the hubby got layed off for a short period of time:)he,he

Congrats to hubby! When the economy tanked and my own hubs lost his job, he thought it would be no time before finding another. Sadly, there are too many people out of work right now. Jobs are harder to come by.

I am so happy for him, I will just join you in the dance. He must just be elated doing the cotton eyed joe all over the place! Yes, now it will be easier on the both of you and maybe a bit of breathing room now. Happy days are ahead again for the two of you!

Congrats to the hubby...and to you, too. It's stressful when hubby is out of work. My own was jobless for several months, too. And then he had to go through unpaid training for two months. THAT was awful! And yeh...the bills kept coming. What's up with THAT?! lol!

Now, hubby is a long distant truck-driver. I'm happy the bills are finally getting paid, but it's bitter-sweet 'cause we only see him once a month if we're lucky.

I went to college with a girl whose grandfather invented Dr. Pepper, and now, fifty years later, I discovered your blog today only to learn that your hubby has been rescued from insolvency by none other than that girl's grandfather's company!

Small world....
