Unlikely Fishin' Partner

The husband and I went out to the tank Sunday evening. Mostly to let the dogs play, but for a little fishin' too. As we made our way out, the horses followed.

Who would have thought that Priss was a fishin' horse?
She was intrigued with the pole. And the worms in the sack. But I think all she really wanted was a pettin'.

This is quite a sight. The husband doesn't like Priss much. Usually they are tormenting each other. But they were both on their best behavior. Momma was watchin'!

Aww thats cute. I have a picture of me when I was young with my moms friends pony in Florida fishin in their gator pond (there was one gator in there)I have my tackle box on the back of the saddle.

How sweet! Isn't it just amazing how the kids can manage to get along when momma's watchin?

I used to have an old mare (Webb) that always insisted on following my kids when they headed out to the pond. She would usually do a poo in the vicinity of where they wanted to fish - and them she would just amble off!

Looks like a sweet horse , an old mare of mine used to go partridge hunting with my uncle! They never got anything because every time he stopped to lokk or listen she would nudge him forward with her head.

Very cute! There is nothing like an ear scratch to help good behavior :) Looks like Priss got a good one.

The horses are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

My horse Blu was terrible about that, she was in your bubble if you were anywhere near her vicinity.

Star on the other hand , not so much.

You gotta watch out for fishin horses. They lie about the fish they catch.
