Cool New Stuff

I've received some pretty cool stuff in the mail lately. First, I won a giveaway by This DVM's Wife's Life. Woohoo, I was so excited! I received my package while I was shreddin' the last pasture on Saturday. I missed the Fed Ex truck but he was nice enough to leave it on my pickup. What a pleasant surprise when I drove up!

I got lots of goodies...

There was a picture frame, magnet, lotion, notepad (oops, forgot that in the pic?!), chocolates and a candle.

She didn't forget the kids either. They had two bags of treats. This is the only one left!

Then, this afternoon, the UPS man showed up with my new 85mm lens!!!! I had rented one and just about cried when I had to ship it back. I couldn't live another photographer's life's second without it so I bought it! Oh my goodness gracious. I've been waiting all week for it to show up. The husband said I looked like I was waiting on Santa this evening. I kept looking out the front window just hoping to see the UPS truck.

Well, it got her around 6:30 and after I did my happy dance, I put it on the camera. This was the first picture I took....

The husband doin' the dishes! I got my new lens and he's doin' the dishes. LIFE'S GOOD!

Wow..a man washing dishes. Doesn't happen often enough in our household.
Isn't it fun to get packages?
There's another one heading your way. I mailed it out today.

I just bought my new camera. After months of waffling over to spend it or not I got it. It'll pay itself off within the year. I get paid by the picture when I write an article and submit colour pictures.

What kind of lens, Canon, or Nikon, pleaseeeeee tell me it is Canon. And do I need to buy a 85 mm lens?

I am getting a new 50 mm, but man I got to say I wish I lived in the states sometimes. What different prices you pay.

Enjoy playing with your new lens, great that hubby does dishes.

What great goodies!!!! I am curious to know where did you rent a lens from?? I have been trying to diagnose a problem with my Nikon D90, but I don't think it's the body I think it is the lens...I was going to just buy another, but if they can be rented I could try it and see what it is without having to lose my camera for 4 weeks!!! That is how long the repair shops turnaround time is!!

Good mail is always AWESOME! My grandma would say that The Husband would make someone a great "wife" someday....Gotta love a guy who does the dishes that's for sure.

How's Harley doing?

Woo Hoo! Happy days! Isn't it great to get *mail*? I swear I go through periods where I feel a close personal relationship with my UPS man (oops, mean parcel post man - I keep forgetting where I live now) starting to build, and then everything goes quiet again. *snort*

I love that your hubby is smiling while he's doing the dishes!! What a nice thing to see when I'm only used to frowns and grumbles when the Old Guy does mine!

If only we could rent hubby's, like we can rent lenses!
