The River's A Risin'

We've had a lot of rain in the last couple days. Our creeks have reached their limit plus some. So much so, I had to back down our road and take another way home this afternoon. The creek was rolling over the bridge and road.

Remember my cute little bridge. Well, now it's covered by a ragin' river!

I went thru some water at another creek. I shot water as high as the top of my truck. But when I got to this bridge, I figured I better "turn around, don't drown!"

Yikes! That is amazing! I imagine you'll all be thankful for the water this summer, but what a nightmare. I hope everyone is safe and dry!

Yes you know not to drive over running water, better safe than sorry and that had some movement in it that is for sure! We have been getting rain up here in Oklahoma but nothing like that. My country kids live down at Plantersville, TX...wonder if they got the same big rains. You are close to that aren't you?

I was just getting ready to remind you of that little rhyme....a guy on the news used it again tonight, after you said it today. Did your group get back from Houston?

Don't forget that I am taking a Mental Health Day tomorrow.....p

Talk about a bridge over troubled water. I like all the green you've got going on down there though.

Gosh - we sure could use some of that water here in Florida.

Would you do me a favor? Would you bring some of your readers over to my place? I need votes!

Thanks - and stay dry!

I think you might need a boat! LOL! You all must be getting more than we are. THey are still calling for rain here everyday, but so far today it hasn't. Glad you turned around on this one!

Yikes! Scary! Glad you didn't attempt to cross that bridge. Even with a truck, you never know!

Very good decision I say!!! Poor little bridge, I wonder how many times it's been under water in it's lifetime!

That is crazy!! It always amazes me how powerful water is! We were in Houston a few weekends ago, and it poured there. There were some on ramps to 59 that were flooded and some silly people in cars got stuck.

We have an abundance of the stuff here as well. So glad you didn't attempt it! Looks pretty swirlie!
