Sunday Stills-Barns

You'd think this would have been a slam dunk for me...a picture of a barn! Well, I've had family at the house for a few days so I didn't get out to take any new pics. I dug around in my archives and found a couple of barn shots. Of course, the Sunday Stills challenge was a little more than just a barn pic. It specifically said, "look beyond the typical barn shot." So since all I had was archived photos, I thought I would get a little creative with them.

Let me know what you think....

Great job as always! I really enjoy the second pic since it looks so old fashioned. How is the photoshop class going by the way??

Thanks everyone!

Lacey Jo-Photoshop class is going. I get very frustrated with the group process. I am learning though. But I still find it much easier to use Picnik.com right now. Maybe someday I will feel more comfortable with photoshop, who knows!

Those are very artistic, well-done. Did you edit those using Picnik or Photoshop? I hope you are having a great weekend!

I love them both ! The second one is great, but the first one "speaks" to me for some reason.
Maybe it's the coloring? Almost an "Americana" feel to it with the painted boards.

Great job, as always!!!

great job! I agree that PS, PSE or any of their products, while good, are not necessarily easy to use or understand.

I love the second one. It's like the barn is a backdrop!

Very nice. There is something very comforting about that second shot. Maybe it is that timeless feeling ....what do I know, they are great shots.

I gotta agree wit Tatersmama. I really like the first one. It has a very "americana" feel to it. I really think you have a gift for seeing things and then helping others see it too.

Both have an incredible feel to them but number one just reaches out and grabs me. Makes me feel comfy and all 1950's. Have no idea why.

I've missed so much by taking my blogging hiatus! I'm sorry for your loss. I can relate to poorly run bull events, hope you caught up on your lost sleep!

I love your barn photos. I bet they were probably close to you too. I was going to try to actually join in on this challenge but most of the barns in are area are large hay barns, nothing spectacular. Plus I spent all weekend writing papers!

School is over (for the semester) next week. I will be blogging and reading blogs more!

I KNEW that I called that one in your new store *Americana*!!!

So did you pick my name for it, or did you come up with it yourself?
I so WANT that print... and I WILL have it! It makes me feel like I'm home again. :-)
