Cha Cha Cha Changes

So I have a pop quiz for ya. What does it mean when.....

there is no mound of clothes to be folded in the chair.....

No dishes to be washed in the sink....

And the sidewalk redone so I don't hurt myself anymore....

Any guesses?

First hint: I'm domestically challenged.

Figure it out?

Second hint: No maid service or rent-a-husband.

Got it yet?

Well, the answer is...

The Husband fell victim to the economic woes and was laid off.

So now he's home, workin' on all the honey do's!

He sure makes a good wife!

(good thing someone does around here!)

Sorry about the lay off. It's hitting too close to home for comfort now.

I'm sorry to hear your hubby was laid off. The Wall Street troubles just keep trickling down further and further, don't they?!

Hope you'll be able to weather through this season of down time!

Oh no, I am so sorry that your hubby got laid off. That is not good. But girl, your chair and sink look great!! If he gets board, send him on over to my house, I have some dishes and laundry he can do over here. I hope he can find work soon!!

Time to get some bulls bucking!! :)

That sucks about the layoff, but I hear ya on the getting stuff done.. nothing like a man having some time off to get it all in order. I imagine it won't be long before he's employed again though. He seems like the type not to sit still for long.

Too bad about the lay off , but he could start a training service for those hubbies that ,well you know the guys that think the dishwasher is really just extra cupboard space ( not that I know anyone like that!)
Don't want to scare you but my word thingy was "nardad"

Sorry to hear that news...I have a feeling he's a pretty determined go-getter and will find something soon! {Hang in there hubby!} - since I figure he reads your blog! :)
My dad retired (due to knee injuries) so now my mom is the breadwinner and he cooks dinner, cleans, etc. Not sure how good he is at the laundry though, LOL!

Sorry to hear about the lay-off. Yes, Pony Girl's dad does it all! Except run the vaccum. Yes, the husband might even start doing the grocery shopping too! Mine does, and I love it!!!

I'm sorry. I hope it's not for too long. Just long enough to get you caught up. Leave it to you to find the silver lining!

You are a pistol packin' mama, and you live in the wild west...go get his job back for him!
AFTER...his list is completed...and mine!

I hear more and more of this these days...I fear things are going to be much worse before they are better...I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I am so sorry. This economy is a killer...although I am glad that he is helping you and that you have such a fine man that he will do so.

Sorry to hear that he lost his job but it looks like you got an awful good made out of the deal.

This economy does suck but at least you've got a side benefit! I'd rent him if he's any good and it looks like he is:)

I am so sorry to hear that he lost his job, there is so much of it around everywhere now.

We are dealing with the same thing. Gar was laid off 2 weeks ago. Keeping him busy, and upbeat is my main concern.

Must run, I think that the bathroom tap needs to be fixed.

Well, now . . . does he hire out? I've got about six loads right now and a counter full of dishes! He could start a new business . . .

Sorry about the job loss-hang in there!

You KNOW that you're both in my thoughts and prayers... And I know just how tough the two of you are, so I'm thinking that this is just a temporary glitch and the road will become less bumpy before you know it!
What a man though! *sigh*
I think I'm going to show this to my Old Guy - it might just prod him into a little more action around here!

When he is done with your honey do list, can you ship him up this way? I have a list a mile long.......Sorry to hear about his job. That totally stinks, there's no mistaking that. It's happening up around here too, right and left. Some of our big factories heading towards closed doors. Not good at all.
Maybe he will start blogging for you too? LOL!

Hang in there. At least he is doing things. My huband was laid off last year and laid on the couch for about a month before he found a job. May it never happen again.

This economy is the pits and I am sorry it has affected so many of us! Even like us the market has made us feel like we just lost a job! I am glad you have things in order in the house and send him up when he runs out of jobs for you! I could use a good worker! :)

Mary Olson said...

I keep waiting for the economy to turn around, but, obviously it hasn't turned yet. So sorry that you and your husband have also been hurt by it.

Sorry about the lay off, that just sucks!

But man look at the things he is getting done! I agree with Prairie Runner~you could rent him out to all of us and make money that way! LOL!

Paintsmh said...

Does he cut brush out of electric fencing? I will rent him! I could use the help! Desperately. I am so sick of cutting brush.

Sorry to the husband though. That has got to be so rough.

Well, I hope it's just a short temporary lay off...just long enough to get the honey-do's done.

It's been estimated in our county that we have 25% unemployment...
