Lookie What I Got!

People grieve in many forms. Me....I have to fill the void in my heart. And the faster it gets filled the better I am. So here is what I got this afternoon......

Meet Titan. He's a 6 weeks old Irish Wolfhound, Anatolian Shephard, Great Pyrenees cross and a total sweetie! He loves to snuggle and I love to oblige him!

Are you wondering where he came from? Well, I had the husband call the guy I bought Duke from just to see if he had any puppies. Can you believe he was just weaning a set! So we made arrangements to look at them this afternoon. The people were super nice. They felt so bad about what had happened to the Duke. They sold us Titan for what we paid for Duke, which was practically nothing, and home we came.

The other dogs gave him a good sniff but didn't seem to mind him. They just wanted their individual attention as always.

We made him a place in the barn. Put up some panels and placed the small doghouse in the pen. He has hay and a blankie to stay warm. The husband was worried about leaving him out at night with the coyotes and during the day with all the animals around here. He needs to grow a little bit more before he can stay out on his own.

The husband asked if I was going to be "sick" tomorrow so I could stay home with him. I wish I didn't have so much work to do or I would. I really think animal people should be able to take maternity leave for their babies too!

Aww!!! He is a cutie!! I'm the same one, if I lose one, the best one I know to cope is to get another one!

He's a doll! I love fluffball puppies. I can't wait to see what he looks like when he grows up. Sounds like he will be big?
What are you thinking you will name him?

Wow what a cross of BIG dogs! Can't wait to see him grown~ after you have sucked all the fun you can out of him being a cute little puppy of course!
BTW you are looking way peaked! I'm not a Doctor ( but I play one around the barn) but my prescription for you would be massive amounts of puppy breath interspersed with copious amounts of fat puppy grunts and plenty of puppy and mommy naps.
Good luck with your new 'little' guy!

I am so glad that you found him, I know that he won't take the place of Duke, but anything that can help dim the pain is good.

He is absolutely a beautiful fluffball. Please keep posting pics of him so we can see him grow.

cutie!! I <3333333 Irish wolf hounds. This lady near here on a big arab farm has one and hes sooo damn big. His back is 2 inches shorter than their grandkids pony. Hes very graceful, I want one.
The sad thing is irish wolfhounds average life expectancy is something like 7 years. Hopefully he inherited the other dogs long life.

Super cute! I love puppies. I would have more if it weren't for the Hunter. (He says no more pets!)

awwww What a cutie! I thought he was a sheep dog till you described him. Puppies are stronger than we give them credit for, I'm sure he did fine in the barn!

One of my rancher friends had a "tolie". He was beautiful.

But most of the time, he would get hot and lay down in the red clay pond.

Half white, half red.

Still a great working dog, great personality, but he looked a little funny 95% of the time.

What an adorable little furball! That was so great you were able to find one so quickly. I want a beagle puppy and in looking around online, nobody local has any litters!

Guess I'll just have to be patient....

I love his name too! I'm glad you got him to help fill the void. We got our two yorkies 3 weeks after losing our first one...brought smiles back into our hearts as Titan will for you.
He's precious..and looks soooo soft!
