Sunday Stills-Food Challenge

Is it bad that I haven't really cooked much since last Sunday. I had to get up this morning and bake to have pictures for this challenge! Then my internet went down and I couldn't post until now. I think the stars are against on this one!

Anyhoo...here is the preparation and my big stack of ingredients to start the morning off.

What a mound of stuff! Okay, I started off baking mini pecan pies. I make these for the husband to take in his lunches every once in awhile. I give em as treats at Christmas to co-workers as well.

I've gotten the crusts in the muffin tin and filled them with pecans.

Then I add the ooey gooey mixture that makes them so yummy!

Then after a little over an hour, you get these lil gems....

And while the mini pecan pies were in the oven, I made my yearly Christmas candy.

The husband loves the candy. His favorite thing to do is eat it with his morning coffee. I've never had anyone turn this stuff down! It looks pretty funky but it tastes delicious!

And finally, from my kitchen dish towel to yours.....

The candy looks good! But what is it?
I think it's almost cruel to share the pic, but not the recipe... or breakfast.

What was I thinking not putting the candy recipe on the post! Geez Louise! Here it is...so simple.

24 oz bag white almond bark
12 oz bag butterscotch chips
2 cups cashews
2 cups chow mein noodles

Melt the almond bark and butterscotch chips in a large bowl in the microwave. Mix in the cashews and chow mein noodles. Spoon out on wax paper and allow to cool. Simple as that!

Enjoy!
